The refurbished second hand iPad Air 3 has been given an internal overhaul with more performance than previous models and is a great tablet which can be found for a fraction of the cost of the latest iPad models available. Below shows the progression of the iPad Air version.

Where can I buy a iPad Air 3?

Market places such as eBay and Amazon are very popular places where iPad Air 3 tablets are sold. It is important, and care does need to be taken when browsing these places as some tablets will be classed as ‘used’ or ‘second hand’ and not ‘refurbished’. In most cases, refurbished iPads are always the go to option and should be sought rather than ‘used’ tablets.

For a second hand iPad Air (3rd Generation) to be classed as ‘refurbished’, it needs to go through an extensive refurbishment process to restore the tablet back to factory condition both internally and externally. Most tablets will also always come with a warranty in order to guarantee the tablet is fully refurbished and is fully functioning and back to factory condition.

Many reputable online retailers such as WeSellTek will sell refurbished second hand iPad Air 3 tablets, and most will offer each version of the tablet such as the different colours (Space Grey, Silver, Gold), different memory capacities (64GB, 256GB), cellular and WIFI or WIFI only versions, along with different conditions available such as Pristine, Excellent and Good.

iPad Air 3 WIFI Only vs 4G (Cellular)

There are 2 different models of the iPad Air 3 tablet. The first being the WIFI only version, and the second being the WIFI and 4G (cellular) version. These different models function exactly the same, the only difference being one will only allow you to connect to a WIFI address, whereas the cellular model will also allow a sim card to be inserted in order to use the data to browse the web, similar to a mobile phone, whilst maintaining the ability to connect to WIFI as normal.

For those people that carry their Apple iPad Air 3 tablet with them when on the go with no access to WIFI, the 4G (Cellular) version would be recommended as simply inserting a sim card with available data will allow the tablet to connect to the internet. Whereas those only using the iPad within their home or with access to a WIFI connection, the WIFI only version would be the one to choose.

iPad Air 3 Performance

One of the main selling points for the Apple iPad Air 3 is the powerful A12 chip used on the main board. This is the same chip found in the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max and it is nearly double the performance of the earlier iPad Pro 9.7 model.

A refurbished second hand iPad Air 3 tablet features an 8,134 mAh lithium polymer battery and has the ability to fast charge using the lightning to USB-C cable and plug meaning it will fully charge in around 3 hours. Whilst similar to its predecessor the iPad Air 2, this tablet will allow for 10 hours of WIFI internet browsing, watching videos and listening to music but will last for over 24 hours when on standby.

A typical question we often get asked at WeSellTek is, do refurbished second hand iPads work the same as a new one? Refurbished and second hand iPads all go through an extensive testing process to ensure there is no difference in performance or functionality making refurbished far more reliable than used or second hand tablets on the market.
