How to check what model my refurbished iPad is

There are 2 different ways to do this.

  • Open up the settings app on your iPad, then select the About option. This will then bring up all the details about your iPad such as name, software version, model number, model, and the serial number. Looking next to the model will display what iPad you have.
  • An alternative method is to check the model number which is marked on the back of the tablet. This is located on lower centre of the case and will show ‘Model A2270’ for example. Simply enter this model number into the Apple website and your iPad will then display. In this instance the model is an iPad 8th Generation WIFI only.

If you are looking to trade in or sell your device, we would always recommend checking the model number on the Apple website as this will then show exactly what the device is, WIFI or WIFI and Data, and this will ensure you receive the very best price for your device.

Similarly, if you are looking to purchase a refurbished iPad, always check to ensure the model you are looking for is capable and able to perform exactly as you need. The best way to do this would be to either contact us here at WeSellTek or check the Apple website for all the technical specification on each tablet.
